Krush Privacy Policy
Welcome to the Krush Privacy Policy (“Policy”). It explains how we collect, store, protect, and share your information, and with whom we share it. We recommend reading this alongside our Terms of Service.
While you enjoy the Krush mobile application (“Application”), we collect certain information about you. Additionally, you can choose to use the Application to share information with other Users, including your friends and contacts (“Users”). There may also be times when we need to share your information.
Who are we?
The Application is operated by ANDRIANJAFY Gaëtan, an individual entrepreneur based in Itaosy, Antananarivo, Madagascar (also referred to as “We” or “Krush” in this Policy).
For any questions regarding privacy or your personal data, you can contact us by email at: [email protected]
1. INFORMATION COLLECTION
Registration Information
When you download the Krush app and create an account (“Account”), we may collect certain information (“Registration Information”) necessary for your use of our services. This information may include:
- Your name;
- Username;
- Phone number;
- Email address;
- Gender identity;
- Date, time, and place of birth;
- Sexual preference;
- Photographs;
- Location; and
- Login information for the social media accounts you choose to link to your Krush account (such as your Facebook or Google account, for example). For more information, see the "Linking Other Accounts to Krush" section below.
Once registered, you can view and modify your information at any time by logging into your Krush account (except for your date of birth). It is essential to keep your account information up to date. For example, if your phone number changes, be sure to update it in your account.
The information we collect plays a key role in enhancing the user experience on the Krush app and allows us to verify the authenticity of our Users (we do not tolerate bots). Some registration information, such as your sexual orientation, name, and username, may be visible to other Users when they view your profile on the app.
Profile Information
We encourage you to carefully consider the personal information you choose to share on your profile. We strongly advise against including sensitive data such as your email addresses, URLs, instant messaging identifiers, phone numbers, full names, postal addresses, credit card numbers, national identity numbers, driver's license information, or any other confidential details that could be misused or mishandled.
When you share personal information or use messaging to communicate with other Users, the responsibility for the amount of personal information you disclose is yours. For more details on access to the content you publish on Krush, please refer to Section 4 below.
Profile Verification Information
To ensure security and provide an optimal user experience, we may ask our Users to verify their account to ensure they are not bots. To do so, we may ask for your phone number and, in some cases, invite you to perform a photo verification. This also helps prevent the creation of fake Krush accounts, often used for fraudulent or malicious purposes, which pose a threat to our community. This verification may be required as part of our anti-fraud policy. You also have the option to request photo verification to receive a blue checkmark proving that your profile has been verified.
If you choose to have your profile photo verified, we analyze the photos you submit. This analysis may include the use of facial recognition technology to compare your submitted photo with the one on your profile to confirm your identity. Verification photos are not added to your profile. We retain these analyses to allow future verifications and for archiving purposes, until they are no longer necessary or for a maximum period of three years after your last interaction with us, whichever comes first. After this period, we take reasonable measures to permanently and securely delete these analyses from our systems.
Geolocation Information
If you have authorized Krush to access your location in your device settings, we collect data related to WiFi access points and other location information, such as your longitude and latitude. We may also record the coordinates of your device to enable certain features. This information allows us to determine your physical location and is used to personalize your experience on the app. For example, it facilitates interactions with other Users by displaying general information about your location on your profile and highlighting profiles of nearby Users.
If, after enabling location services, you wish to disable them, you can follow the steps below:
- On iPhone — go to Settings, Privacy, Location Services, then disable access for Krush.
- On Android — open Settings, Apps, select Krush, go to Permissions, then disable location access.
Device and Photo Information
When you use the Krush app, we may collect information about your device, including its unique identifier, model, and the version of the operating system. This data is collected for various purposes, including improving the app's compatibility and user experience.
We also collect information about your photos, such as those that attract the attention of other Users or feature better lighting. This data helps us optimize the app's features, such as highlighting the best photos.
Links
We may keep a record of your interactions with links on Krush, including those leading to third-party services via redirects or other means. This data allows us to improve the user experience and analyze trends. We may also share global statistics on clicks, such as the total number of clicks on a particular link.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
When you use the Krush app, we may automatically collect certain personal data about you through cookies or other similar technologies. A cookie is a small file that may be placed on your device or browser to allow us to recognize you and remember certain preferences.
By using our app, you also have the option to control cookies. You can refuse to accept cookies at any time by managing your privacy preferences in your profile (under "Settings" > "Security & Privacy" > "Privacy Settings" on iOS and Android).
Please note that if you choose not to allow cookies, some sections of our site or app may not work properly or may not be accessible.

Our Algorithms

We use various data based on user profiles in our app (such as your interactions with other users or how you perform your swipes). This information helps us recommend the most relevant profiles to each user, maximizing the chances of creating authentic connections within our community.
Our algorithms take into account several factors to improve your chances of finding compatible people. The following data is used to assess your compatibility with other users and generate profile recommendations:

- The data on how you interact with the app, to suggest profiles of active users open to meeting new people;
- Your device's location, used to determine your proximity to other members.
The processing of profile and proximity information is based on the need to provide our services in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. Regarding the analysis of your activity in the app, this is based on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, specifically to further personalize your recommendations and improve your chances of meeting compatible people. If you share sensitive information in your profile, such as details about your beliefs or opinions, their processing is based on your explicit and voluntary consent.
